We respect your right to remove your data from Plan A Collab at any time. The fastest way to request deletion is by email.
How to request deletion
Send an email to privacy@planacollab.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data deletion request."
We'll confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You'll get a final confirmation email when your data has been removed from our production systems.
What gets deleted
- Your user account (email, username, display name, profile photo, bio).
- All connected social accounts and verification metadata.
- Travel plans, current location, and primary location.
- Messages you've sent or received (also removed from the recipient's view).
- Notes, tags, follows, and favorites you've recorded against other users.
- Notes, tags, follows, and favorites other users have recorded about you.
What may persist briefly
Encrypted nightly database backups in our backup bucket retain your data until they expire on the schedule documented in our Privacy Policy (currently 90–365 days depending on tier). We do not restore from backup for any reason other than disaster recovery, and we have a process to re-process deletions if a restore ever happens.
Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics (e.g. "how many users completed onboarding last month") may persist indefinitely.
Removing the app from a connected platform
If you've connected Plan A Collab to X, Instagram, Threads, Reddit, or Bluesky and you remove our app via that platform's settings, the platform notifies us. We process those signals the same way as a direct deletion request — your data is removed within 30 days. You don't need to email us separately unless you'd like a confirmation.
For Meta app reviewers
Plan A Collab implements Meta's data deletion request callback at https://planacollab.com/api/v1/data-deletion/meta. It accepts the standard signed_request payload and returns a JSON response with url and confirmation_code per Meta's spec.
